1.3 SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: Manufacturer's standard catalog cut sheets and planting instructions.
B. Samples: As required for color selection only.
C. Shop Drawings: For custom applications, showing critical sizes and dimensions for installation and integration with other work.

1.4 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING
A. Inspect planters after delivery for signs of damage during transit.
B. Protect planters from damage during storage and handling.
C. Store planters indoors, in their original packaging. Do not stand or walk on planters.

1.5 PROJECT CONDITIONS
A. Contractor to provide adequate structural support for planter units.
B. Protect units from damage by adjacent work.

1.6 MAINTENANCE
A. Prior to project completion, provide manufacturer's planting and maintenance instructions to installing contractor to insure correct planting and maintenance of the planters.
B. Repaint as necessary.

2.0 PRODUCTS

2.1 ACCEPTABLE PRODUCTS/MANUFACTURERS

2.2 FLOWER FRAMER WINDOW BOX PLANTERS
A. Type: Self-contained planter box with 1" thick drainage pad covering entire bottom of box, removable overflow drains, integral hanging lip for easy installation.
B. Material: lightweight, pultruded glass fiber reinforced polyester resin (FRP) body with thermoplastic end caps. Drainage pad to be made of non-woven landscape fabric surrounding plastic matrix material, min 1" thick.
C. Color: Standard white, black, hunter green, or slate gray. Other colors painted either at factory or on site.
D. Finish: Smooth matte finish prior to painting.
E. Sizes: Modular length units 8"W x 9"D. Lengths as required to fill specified areas, from 24"L to 120"L.
F. Exterior Applications: Drainage caps included with box, may be installed by contractor at time of installation if drainage is to be controlled.

2.3 FLOWER FRAMER ACCESSORIES (OPTIONAL)
A. Stainless Steel hanging brackets. Available for flush mount on wall, or ½" to 5-1/2"" railing. Recommend approx. one bracket per foot of Flower Framer Box (i.e., a 48"L box would require 4 brackets). Custom brackets available.
B. Retaining Clips. Available for rail mount brackets, these simple clips can be screwed through the rail bracket into the railing after the box is mounted to keep the box from easily moving.

3.0 EXECUTION

3.1 PREPARATION
A. Prior to Flower Framer Box fabrication, the contractor shall verify as-built dimensions of planter areas to ensure proper size, fit and quantity required.
3.2 INSTALLATION
A. Space brackets evenly along length of unit. Firmly screw bracket into wall, or into railing (if applicable).
B. Install units level to permit adequate drainage and irrigation.
C. Do not trim or modify the Flower Framer Box in any way without first consulting with and receiving approval from the manufacturer.
