High Impact Polystyrene
|
General duty standard and custom liners for most small and medium size applications. Widest range of standard sizes, up to 72"l x 36"W x 17"D (see chart on reverse). | Unibody construction. Wall thickness typically .125-.250, depending on size and depth. Standard color is black. Painting and UV protection recommended for direct sun exposed exterior applications. |
Linear Low Density Polyethylene |
Used for custom large liners, and for large quantities. Makes exceptionally durable, long-term liners. Can also be used to create custom decorative planters, lightweight structural elements. | Unibody construction. Sizes up to 120"l x 48"W x 48"D. PE Liners finished to utility grade in black or gray. Not designed for decorative use. Factory design support strongly recommended. |
Stress-Relieved Polypropylene
|
Unique sizes, shapes, and configurations in small quantities where tooling costs outstrip value of liner. Unique no longer has to mean outrageously expensive – no tooling, mold or engineering costs. | Leakproof welded construction of .250 stress-relieved polypropylene sheet. Drainage is typically installed in the field, using the drainage adapter shown on reverse. |
| Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic |
For curved planters and planter liners, extremely large planter sizes, or decorative planters with intricate designs | Unibody spray up construction for most applications. Gel coating to provide decorative finish. Most fiberglass done on a custom basis - check with the factory prior to specifying. |
| Flexible PVC Sheeting |
Typically used where budget constraints won’t allow for a rigid liner, or where an existing container requires a membrane liner with use of the CWM Modular Container Irrigation product. | Gray 30mil PVC material is draped inside of the planter, and fastened mechanically to the side walls. Flexible PVC may be welded in the field. |

Drainage Adapter
Installed in the field by contractor. Double-gaskets for reliability. Cover with drainage fabric to retain soil/gravel and to keep out roots. Available standard in _" and _" thread x thread configurations, and special order in larger sizes.

Planter Technology single wall leakproof thermoplastic planter liners. Material pre-consumer recycled black High Impact Polystyrene or as specified. Consult chart above for model number and exact size of standard HIPS unit. A protective UV coating is recommended for surfaces that are exposed to direct sunlight. All flange dimensions listed are nominal, and may be trimmed –1"/+2" from the nominal size. All planter liners should be specified with continuous bottom support.
