Planter Technology became involved in this project early in the early stages of the design. The architect looked to Planter Technology for a complete, turnkey solution. We used our Lancaster Box lightweight thermoplastic planter box, a bracket custom designed to hang from the trellis framework incorporated into the design, and our AutoFill automatic container irrigation system to water the plants. The color of the Lancaster Box was even custom matched to the color of the paint for the trellis system. The whole thing was designed, then approved by a licensed structural engineer to ensure that the brackets and planters would stay where they were supposed to. The contractor was able to assemble the boxes, irrigation and brackets on the ground, fill the boxes with soil, then hang them on the trellis with a lift truck. A relatively simple installation for a complicated project.
