The Landscape architect originally specified concrete planters to run around the perimeter of the original stadium structure, and added Planter Technology's modular container irrigation system. However, to save weight and cost, they had us custom fabricate decorative planters with the watering system built into the walls. Each planter consists of a pedestal unit below, and a lightweight polyethylene planter with integrated container irrigation. There are over 200 planters on this project, and the maintenance contractor is currently refilling the reservoirs every two weeks in the height of the Chicago summer.
