The owner of this condominium penthouse facing Saginaw Bay wanted a roofgarden that would be able to withstand the winds coming off Lake Huron. Plants typically dry out quickly, and don't hold up well. By using SeaCrest Series lightweight planters with built-in container irrigation, the owner found they were able to achieve their goals of a real roof garden with minimal maintenance. The owner informed Planter Technology that he's able to check the water levels in the reservoir of the planter with a stud finder! The roof garden has been written up in several local papers as a model of sustainability.
